T1D Warriors Scholarships

Nobody should miss campbecause of a diagnosis.

A week at diabetes camp is the first time a lot of these kids meet another kid who wears the same pump. A college year with the fees covered is the first time a T1D student gets to think about their major instead of their supply costs.

We fund both, one kid at a time, entirely from donations.

Where we are

Two campers went last summer. We want six kids covered next.

In 2026 we sent 2 campers to ADA Camp Korelitz. For the 2027 cycle the goal is 4 camper scholarships at $1,600 each plus the first $2,500 Warrior Scholar award. That is $8,900 total, and we will say plainly on this page how close we are as gifts come in.

Warrior Camp Scholarship

Covers the camper fee for a week at ADA Camp Korelitz, where every counselor and nearly every kid lives with T1D. For families who would not otherwise send their child.

Warrior Scholar

A college award for a student living with Type 1 Diabetes who keeps showing up anyway. Paid toward tuition, fees, or the cost of managing T1D at school.

How awards are decided

Small committee. Plain rules.

• A small selection committee reviews every application.
• Immediate family of board and committee members are not eligible.
• Awards are made without regard to race, religion, sex, or national origin.
